| I am Till Kranz, a postdoc in the group of Prof. Dr. Ramin Golestanian | I am Till Kranz, a research associate in the Institute for Theoretical Physics at the University of Cologne working on the DFG project //Granular Matter: How Structure Determines Response Far From Equilibrium//. My research focus is the theoretical description of nonequilibrium fluids in terms of their rheological properties. These fluids are characterized by a mechanism to dissipate energy and an -- internal or external -- driving force. I am also interested in glassy systems, especially resulting from nonequilibrium fluids. Most of my research is concerned with (dense) granular fluids but I also study bacterial motility and micro-colony formation. To find out more, have a look at Research or read my papers. |
